Hi everyone, my name is Bridget and I am starting this fundraiser for a family close to me. Thomas and Anne Kiessling recently lost majority of their belongings in the home they had on Siesta Key. Most of you who have been following the aftermath of Hurricane Helene know the storm surge on the key destroyed most homes there. Thomas and Anne are my best friend Amelie's parents. They are like a second family to me and I know that they would never ask anyone else for help during this awful time, which is why I am setting up this fundraiser. The Kiessling family moved here from Germany about 12 years ago and started a new life in the states by purchasing this house. Their only source of income was coming from this house. No one can ever be prepared for your livelihood to be gone from one day to the next. After having multiple feet of water flood this house, they have months of work ahead of them to get it fixed up again. Nothing was salvageable. If you have ever had the chance to meet the Kiesslings, you know they would give the shirts off their back to anyone affected. I am hoping you find yourself in a position where even a few dollars can be donated so we can show them that as much as they have everyone's back, we also have theirs.
