Help the Jorgenson Family After House Fire
Don protégé
Hi, my name is Lexi, and I’m the middle child of the Jorgenson family. I’m creating this fundraiser on behalf of my parents, Frank and Nikki, and my younger siblings, James and Sophi, whose lives were turned upside down last night when their home caught fire.
An electrical fire started in the attic due to old wiring and quickly spread. Firefighters had to tear down ceilings to put it out—and while they were able to save much of the structure, they told my parents it’s no longer safe to live there or really even go inside.
By a true miracle, everyone—including all of the family’s beloved animals—made it out safely. Our dogs, a tripped breaker, and what we believe was God’s protection gave just enough time to escape. My younger siblings showed incredible bravery, running back to help rescue the pets and support our parents in the chaos.
My two older siblings and I found out about the house fire because our 17-year-old brother texted "the house is on fire we are evacuating" in the family group chat. To which we responded "what??" We then tried calling, realized it was real, and got there as fast as we could.
About 35% of their belongings were completely destroyed, and most of what remains is heavily damaged by smoke or water. They left with only the clothes on their backs and our pets: Persephone (Black Lab), Hercules (Standard Poodle), Grizzly (Sheepadoodle), Jasper AKA Sigma (Goldendoodle Service Dog in training for a girl outside of our family), and over a dozen reptiles that I could attempt to list, but I will save you the read.
One incredibly kind firefighter even paid for part of a hotel stay for the first night—but now, the reality of needing a new place to live, care for the animals, and replace the basics is overwhelming.
As my mom shared:
“Frank, James, and Sophi just kept running back and bringing me more animals. They are tired as am I... not really sure what to do at this point. Anyone with suggestions, hugs, or prayers.... please. I feel sick because we need a new home for the family and animals. The prospects moving forward are overwhelming and uncertain. One. Day. At. A. Time.”
This GoFundMe will help Frank and Nikki with:
• Temporary housing
• Moving costs
• Clothing, food, and hygiene essentials
• Pet care and supplies
• Deposits and expenses for finding a new home
If you’d prefer to donate directly, you can send help via Venmo to @pokypartybarn.
We are so thankful for the amazing neighbors who brought water, shoes, hugs, and support late into the night. Now, we’re asking for continued help as my family tries to recover and rebuild from this devastating loss.
Every donation, prayer, and share means more than you know. Thank you for lifting up my family during this incredibly difficult time.
With gratitude,
Lexi Jorgenson
