Support the Ishizaki Family Recovery Journey after tragedy

From Natalia, Tatsuya, and Emily Ishizaki
We never imagined we’d be in a position to ask for help, but here we are. Our family has been devastated by the Palisades Fire, which not only destroyed our home but also our beloved community. We had to flee our house when the fire spread to our neighbor's backyard. In the chaos, we couldn't even gather our belongings.
The fire also destroyed Palisades Charter Elementary School, where Emily, our 11-year-old daughter, was a 5th grader, and where I, Natalia, worked as an Assistant Teacher.
A year ago, my husband Tatsuya suffered a stroke that left him paralyzed. Since then, he has been in recovery, both physically and mentally, and requires constant care. He is confined to a wheelchair and needs special accommodations for daily life.
Unfortunately, our home was not insured for wildfire damage, leaving us with no means to recover what we’ve lost.
As I try to navigate the overwhelming challenges ahead, I feel completely lost. I don't know where we’ll live, how to provide the necessary care for Tatsuya, or how to ensure Emily's life can return to some semblance of normalcy.
We are humbled by the kindness of so many people who have already reached out to offer help. We are beyond grateful for any support you can provide during this difficult time. Your generosity will make an immense difference as we work toward recovery.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
