In the wee hours of the morning, on August 2nd/ 2019 tragedy struck the Panas family. While his expectant wife and two young daughters slept, Chris who was taking a work break outside, was the victim of a shooting. As he stood talking to a coworker, a person on a motorbike sped into the lot, opening fire on both Chris and his coworker. 

His coworker was shot but was released from the hospital later that day. For Chris this was not the case. He’d been shot three time’s. He was rushed to the hospital where he lay fighting for his life.

His wife Joy received a call letting her know what was happening. She rushed to the hospital to be byher husbands side. 

As her husband was about to have life saving surgery something happened. Joy went into full labour. Alone. Without the love of her life beside her. She gave birth to a precious baby boy as her husband and father of her children clung to life in that very same hospital. 

Joy went home with their third child, first boy without her husband.Chris was now in a coma and it would be a very long while before he met his precious son. 

Joy travelled back and forth with their children to the hospital to be with her husband all the time. The weight of life, caring for three children alone, crushing her. After 4 months in hospital, Chris miraculously came home! Unable to walk, with severe PTSD right at theonslaught of the covid 19 outbreak. A Gofundme was set up however most went to a bathroom Reno to help with Chris’s needs

Speed Up to now. A year and a half later of horrible struggles. 

Last week. January 2021, Chris was diagnosed with bowel cancer. Another kick in the face for this beautiful family. 

They need our help!
Their living situation is extremelydifficult. They need their own place. They need a fresh start. They need a home for their three children. A back yard. Something to calltheir own where they can rebuild and fight life once again.
