During the early morning hours of Tuesday, April 28th, the Hughes family woke up to a fiery blaze in their backyard. The pole-barn structure housing decades' worth of accumulated equipment, mowers, and vehicles for Eric's EH GROUP Landscape and Lawn Care business was ablaze. Unfortunately, the entire barn and all of its contents burned down, resulting in a significant total loss during the busiest and most chaotic time of the year for lawn care and landscaping businesses in the state.
Founded in 2006, the business services hundreds of clients in the Dublin and Powell areas of Central Ohio, providing top-tier lawn care and landscaping. It also provides substantial support for Eric's wife and six children.
Eric also serves in the Olentangy Local School District as an art teacher. He provides excellent instruction, leadership, and care for his students and the Olentangy community. He is also heavily involved in his local church, and there is no one who stands as an exceptional example of a "good and faithful servant" more than Eric himself.
Although the structure and major items (vehicles) will be covered by insurance, many of the smaller items accumulated over time (hand tools, wrenches, sockets, gas cans, backpack sprayers, fertilizer products, herbicides, air compressors, storage racks, tool carts, workbenches, shelving, blade sharpeners and cleaners, spare parts, and other equipment) will not be covered under the policy. Please consider donating to help Eric and his family rebuild such an integral and essential part of their business and power through such a stressful and unexpected loss.
Thank you!
