Four years ago, our family moved to the United States to build a new life. We are Sviatlana and Aliaksei Horbach, and we have two children, Polina and Mikita. For all four years, North Union Apartments was our home. On July 31, our apartment was destroyed in the devastating fire at North Union Apartments. We lost our home and many of our belongings in just a few hours. Right now, we are staying in a temporary Airbnb while trying to figure out what to do next. Our son is supposed to start school in just one week, and our daughter attends daycare. We are doing everything we can to keep life as normal as possible for our children during this incredibly difficult time.
We had paid our rent in advance, but we have not yet received any refund. We are facing unexpected expenses for temporary housing, replacing essential belongings, and finding a new place to live. Any support, no matter the amount, would mean the world to our family. Your kindness will help us provide stability for our children and begin rebuilding our lives after this tragedy.
Thank you so much for your generosity, compassion, and support. With gratitude, Sviatlana, Aliaksei, Polina & Mikita Horbach
