We are so blessed to be welcoming our second little girl. Our family's vision is to live in harmony with God's green earth. We have committed to this lifestyle via our investment in a small permaculture farm outside of Shreveport. While not always glamorous nor lucrative, living more ancestrally brings our family daily joy.

It is this sentiment that led us to the decision to welcome our second daughter at home - on the land, within the four walls, into which we have poured so much love and labor. Financially, the wiser choice would be to utilize medical coverage in one of the fine hospitals of the Shreveport area. But spiritually we knew this wasn't right.

You, our family and friends, have been immensely supportive through all of our wacky (and sometimes questionable) ventures. And so, we ask for your support once more. In lieu of a material gift, had you the desire to give one, we humbly request some help compensating our in-home birth team: a midwife we selected at the beginning of the pregnancy, her assistant(s), and a birth doula.

We are committed to this birth plan regardless of how close to the full goal this fundraiser achieves. Any contribution is greatly appreciated and will help set us up for greater success in the transition from a family of 3 to a family of 4. As Anthony is self employed, the closer we get to the goal will directly determine how much "paternity leave" he can spend helping Holly when baby girl arrives this May.
