Help The Heart Raise Money for a New-To-Us Bus!

Our After School Program has experienced tremendous growth, and we have unfortunately outgrown our beloved van. But fear not, we have found the perfect solution - a slightly used 2019 bus with low kilometres and equipped with seatbelts!

We are thrilled to introduce Mister Jamie, our licensed and ready-to-go driver. However, we need the support of our amazing community to raise enough money for this new-to-us bus!

Donated funds will go directly towards the purchase of the bus.

Why does The Heart need a bus?

The Heart collects students from Whitehorse Elementary Monday through Friday and transports them to our facility for classes in dance, music, art, theater, a healthy meal, and structured playtime. Our van served us well when we had 11 students, but now our numbers have almost doubled. With the bus, we can also provide transportation for older students in Grades 6 and 7.

A larger capacity bus will also enable The Heart to take students on field trips to local arts events, offer tours of the Yukon Arts Centre and other performing spaces, and participate in rehearsal weeks during our bi-annual productions at the Yukon Arts Centre.

We are open to any thoughts and ideas our community may have for future programming.
