In the early hours of a devastating fire, the Hatfield family’s lives changed forever.

Justin, Katie, and their young son, Jack, lost their home and everything they owned. As flames rapidly spread through the house, they became trapped on the second floor. Thanks to the efforts of the Millville Fire Department and mutual aid departments, Katie and Jack were safely rescued through a second-floor window and from the roof, bringing them to safety during an unimaginable situation.

While they are incredibly grateful to be alive, the Hatfields are now left with nothing but the clothes they escaped in. To make this even more difficult, Katie is seven months pregnant as they prepare to welcome their newest family member in just a few short weeks.

Justin and Katie are hardworking, caring people who would never ask for help unless they truly needed it. Today, they are faced with the overwhelming task of rebuilding their lives from the ground up.
