My name is Emily, and I’m organizing this page on behalf of my brother and sister-in-law, Russell and Laney. Russell has been out of work since the beginning of the Covid Pandemic. While struggling to find a new job, he and Laney have fought to keep their blended family afloat. Because of their own hard work, together with acts of generosity and outright miracles, they have continued to pay their bills, and lovingly provide for their children (5 total, ages 7-18). This week, the owners of the home they have rented for nearly a decade decided to sell the house because of the surging real estate market. Packing up their life, and their children’s lives, with almost no warning would be traumatizing enough without the economic and emotional weight of finding a new home hanging around their necks.

Miraculously, they have found a house to rent that would allow them to stay near friends and family, and keep their children in the schools they love. But after eighteen months of unemployment, pandemic, and uncertainty, they have no savings for deposit money. I never thought I would be writing a request like this, but this beautiful family needs your love and support.
