Help the Hardy's Adopt

Now that we are home study approved, we can share that…WE ARE ADOPTING!!!

We wanted to share a little part of our story and how God led us to this point. In October of 2015, we decided that we were ready to start trying for a baby. We both have always wanted a family and felt like we had so much to give to a little one. This was a huge step in our marriage but turned out to be much more of a challenge than we had originally thought. After a year and a half with no success, we decided to start seeing fertility specialists. Test after test came back and test after test showed nothing of concern that would explain our infertility. Even years spent with my regular gynecologist (who is well respected, especially when it comes to fertility issues) could not produce an explanation for our infertility other than, “It’s not God’s time for us yet.” After almost 7 years, 2 fertility specialists, countless labs, tests, ultrasounds, and even 2 failed IUIs, we felt as if we needed a break from the endless doctor’s visits. We were hopeless.

In the peace of letting go of trying to figure this issue out on our own, God met us halfway. Psalms 82:3 reads, “Defend the weak and the fatherless. The two of us have always had a heart to take care of the people around us. God has led us to know that our purpose is to help a beautiful baby and courageous birth mother that may not have a chance otherwise. Since having this realization, God has opened doors and put pieces into our life that show we are on the right path. We have always had an amazing support system through family, friends, and our church community. We have also met several people over the past few months that have just “crossed our paths at the right time” who have now become instrumental in keeping us focused and motivated through an arduous process.

We both wanted to share our story because it is such a painful journey to go through and our hope is that it helps someone to know that we have been where they are. We would love for everyone to follow along on our journey to bring a precious baby home, and we ask that you share this in case someone needs a little hope or is looking for an adoptive family!
