Help Hana World Market Recover From Vandalism & Closing Cost

For over two decades, Hana World has been a cornerstone of Austin’s Asian community — a place where generations found ingredients, flavors, and a sense of home. Before Hana World, the family ran New Oriental Market, and when it closed, daughter Yunhui opened what became Hana World.

After years of service, Hana World is closing at the end of the year due to the rising costs of doing business — including labor, utilities, insurance, inflation, and tariffs. Then, last week, vandalism cut their refrigeration lines, causing even more loss. The family is heartbroken, and the ATX Asian Food Facebook community wants to support them.

This GoFundMe will help Yunhui, her family, and her employees with remaining operating expenses, losses from the vandalism, and closing costs. Yunhui has shared that she hopes to use part of these funds to provide additional support for her staff so they don’t have to worry about finding new jobs during the holiday season.

Let’s show our love for a store that has meant so much to so many.

Donate, share, and help honor Hana World’s legacy.
