The homelessness rate is on the rise in our community, and for many the holidays are the hardest time of year. No matter the circumstances or cause of their situation, we believe that everyone deserves warmth and a delicious meal this Holiday season. We want to do our part in making a small difference within our community through providing meals, sleeping bags and other necessities to our goal of 10 homeless Haligonians December 24th 2021, and we need your help! Any amount, no matter how big or small would be beyond appreciated by two young people hoping to make a small difference. About us:
My name is Cara and along with my friend Tanu we are setting out on our goal of helping ten people this holiday season. He came to me with the idea and immediately I was on board! I am 21 years old and he is 24, I’ve grown up in Coleharbour and Tanu has been in Halifax for two years coming from India in 2019. We are both retail workers and although we have big goals this holiday season, we do not have big pay cheques, so we need your help! :)
