Hello, my name is Tiffany, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my dear friend, Grethel, and her family, who have been enduring an incredibly challenging year. I’ve created this GoFundMe to help them rebuild their lives, and I’m hoping we can come together to support them in their time of need.

The Guilbert family’s home has become an unsafe environment, with mold growth caused by unresolved water damage, leaving them all struggling with serious health issues. They’ve been in a two-year-long battle with their insurance company, which has refused to address failing cast iron pipes that led to severe water damage and subsequent mold. This ongoing issue has devastated their living conditions and, tragically, their health.

In the past year, Grethel was diagnosed with a severe autoimmune condition, which nearly claimed her life. Scott, the sole provider for the family, has been battling seizures that are resistant to treatment, impacting his cognitive health. Despite a major seizure on Father’s Day, Scott tried to continue working, but after another severe seizure, he was left unable to work. Their oldest daughter, Grace, has developed epilepsy, while their son Jeremiah is suffering from a chronic inflammatory condition, and young Eli has been dealing with frequent nosebleeds for over two years.

This hardworking family, who has always given so much to their community, is now in urgent need of help. Medical bills are piling up, and their home is no longer a safe place for healing.
