Hello, we are the Guerrero family from Norwalk, California. To describe the bond we hold as a family is simple: to show up for one another in times of difficulty. We are fortunate for this platform to share with you this unfortunate story.
This is Noel and Brenda. They both share 5 children between themselves. They are both very hardworking parents and devote so much of their time to their kids. Noel alone works 6 days a week, and Brenda has a full-time job.
On Thursday, March 12, Brenda was home alone when she got a home visit from a man claiming to be from the water company, telling her their water was going to be shut off. She then had to go to work for the day. When Noel came home, he was surprised to see their home had been ransacked. Their belongings were thrown everywhere, and their kids' room had been looked through. Noel then discovered their safe was taken with cash and jewelry.
In the end, we're glad no one was hurt and things could have been worse, but their hard-earned money and priceless jewelry are gone. Their sense of security is gone, and they are heartbroken from their belongings being taken from them. We as a family want to help as much as we can with what we have. But we are also asking for the public's help. We may not be able to emotionally give them back their security, but I'm hoping we can help with their financial security.
