Hi, it’s us the Griffiths family. We used to be your normal everyday family. A mom, dad, three daughters, two sons, and two dogs kind of family. However when one of you goes down so do the rest. Our mom Jannelle Griffiths was unfortunately injured a few months and has been in and out of hospitals ever since. This time is different. This time she hasn’t come home to see our family. We are going on week two of not have our family back together. We try and pick up the slack to the best of our abilities but it’s not enough. We are reaching out to those who know us and even those who don’t to support our family in any way they can. Not only will a donation help but so will extra food or time those of you in the neighborhood are willing to share. Thank you for everything!
Jannelle’s Journey:
After the accident Jannelle had to undergo spinal fusion surgery to repair multiple herniated discs. The recovery was long and difficult to overcome. Unfortunately the surgery had failed. She then went back the pain specialist that recommended a few more procedures. Nothing has worked. The last procedure that was performed instantly brought a wave of pain with it. The Griffiths family is still waiting for answers as to what is happening to their mom.
Hospital Stay: We are currently on day 20 at the hospital. Jannelle was taken by ambulance over 2 weeks ago right in front of her kids. “When is mom coming home”, “When can we visit her”. We still don’t have an answer for them. Seeing them draw her in a hospital bed is their new normal. Missing out on her kids daily lives has really taken a toll on her mental health. Not to mention all of the physical pain she is still suffering from in the hospital. Poked and prodded all day everyday just to have another IV fail. Jannelle has had multiple MRI’S, Spinal Tap’s, CT Scan’s, X-ray’s and more. The amount of tests are piled up and so are the medications. Jannelle only wants to get better. Jannelle needs to get better.
Help & Support:
The Griffiths Family is very lucky in the neighbor department. We have received snacks, fruit, and home-cooked meals to get our family through this tough time. Not to mention the wonderful donations from family and our community. This is by far the hardest thing we have ever had to endure. Asking for help isn’t easy but family comes first. Anything helps. We asking for support. Even if some are unable we hope you still think about us and share our story!
Yours truly the Griffiths.
