April 16, 2026, between 5-7 pm, our family's home, business, and everything in between was lost.

Tim and Bella were getting ready to leave for the store. They were sitting in the driveway having daddy-daughter time. Momma was in the house taking a break from paperwork and taking a nap. All of a sudden, Bella said, "Daddy, smoke." Bella made it into the house before Dad (she runs faster) and woke Momma up. Millie went to the back door to investigate where the smoke was coming from. She opened the back door and got engulfed by the flames, burning her left side. She tried to close the door all the way, but the fire was already inside. At that point, she made sure Bella was out of the house and started letting the dogs out of the cages. After going in and out a few times, the smoke got so bad she could barely breathe. She went in one last time, crawling on the floor looking for Bella's beloved dog Zoey, but had no luck. Millie got rushed by EMS to Chapel Hill with second-degree burns and smoke inhalation. The fire department finally got the house and the Jeep out and began to wrap up. Kayla, Bella, and Tim spent hours looking for her dogs Bear and Zoey after the fire. Millie spent the night in the hospital and decided she had to go home to help the family out in this terrible tragedy and time of need. They found Lil Bear sitting on the porch waiting for Bella the next day. She had to have staples in her paw because she cut it on glass trying to get inside. Tim found Zoey succumbed to the smoke and heat.

The family has lost everything. Tim and Millie have been together 25 years. Everything is gone.

Kayla is helping out with her little sister, and Tim and Millie are working on cleaning up and rebuilding. Rebuilding for another better 25 years of life with the Greer family. They have lost everything; any help is greatly appreciated.
