Help Our Family Rebuild After Fire

A devastating fire north of Flagstaff, AZ destroyed our family land. Two members of our family fought the flames to save what they could alongside forest service emergency workers in early October.

While a burn ban was in place, a careless spark from a campfire some few hundred yards away caused a forest fire. Flames consumed over 3/4 of the property and along with it irreplaceable heirlooms and keepsakes belonging to family no longer with us. In addition, expensive tools, family tents, a pop-up trailer, grills, food and fuel storage, hunting and a slew of camping equipment to name a few. These items were securely stored in two huge storage containers.

It was declared “a total loss”. We are seeking any help you can provide to begin rebuilding and healing the land. Any money raised will be used to purchase items lost, replace the storage containers, and clear the debris the burn scar left behind on the land and our hearts.

The fire, thankfully, spared the most important history on our land; the great ponderosa pine where the ashes of family were laid to rest along with the ashes of family pets. Also spared, the small hunting cabin generations of our family built together.

The once beautiful oasis of rich wildlife, pine trees, and the wildflower meadow are ashes. Thank you for viewing our story. Please help us if you are able and/or pass along this story to others that may be able to help.
