On the morning of September 8th, our family lost our home and nearly everything we owned in a devastating house fire.

My wife, Jackie, and I have three small children, and the one thing we are most thankful for is that none of us were home when the fire happened. I was supposed to leave for Georgia that morning for work, so Jackie and our three children were staying at my sister’s house the night before. Had those plans been different, Jackie and the kids would have been home while I was at work. We will never stop thanking God that our family is safe.

Unfortunately, we did not have homeowners insurance, which means there is no insurance policy to help us replace what was lost or rebuild. We lost our furniture, clothing, household items, our children’s clothes and belongings, toys, keepsakes, and nearly everything that made our house a home.

I’m not someone who is comfortable asking other people for help, and making this page is difficult for me. But with three small children depending on us, we are doing everything we can to get back on our feet and give them some stability while we figure out how to start over.

Any money raised will go directly toward our family’s immediate needs, replacing clothing and necessities for our children, temporary living expenses, cleanup, and eventually helping us rebuild a home for our family.

We know that houses and belongings can eventually be replaced. The most important thing is that Jackie, our three children, and I are still here together. We have a long road ahead of us, but we will rebuild.
