I started The Giving Tent in August with a simple goal: to help people in my area who need food, clothing, hygiene care, books, toys, and a little bit of fun. What began as a small greenhouse tent in my front yard with a mix of essentials has quickly grown into something much bigger. Today, The Giving Tent has expanded to two large greenhouse tents. One serves as a food pantry, with half the space filled with food and the other half offering toys, pet supplies, household necessities, hygiene products, and more. The second tent is a clothing closet, filled with clothes, shoes, socks, bags, accessories, and books for anyone who needs them.

The response from my community has been incredible, and I’ve had people from other areas reach out, asking if we could set up The Giving Tent in their neighborhoods too. I’m currently talking to people who can help make that happen, but the first step is to officially become a nonprofit organization. This will allow us to expand, reach more people, and provide even greater support to those in need.

All funds raised will go to getting our 501c3 any leftover funds will be used to get supplies needed in the tent.
