Hi my name is Melinda Garmon my son Josey and daughter in law Rene are definitely facing some challenges that most can only imagine as parents.

My 1 year old granddaughter Haezlie has been diagnosed with laryngeal cleft. She aspirates with thin liquids ,so she will be meeting with ENT to plan for surgery to correct it. My 3 month old granddaughter harleigh (of the same family) has been diagnosed with congenital heart failure, she has a hole between her ventricles where the blood is not filtering through her heart .She will be having heart surgery in about 4-6 weeks after her lungs are healed enough to have surgery. Definitely a lot to take in but many missed days of work and long travels back and forth for both babies. Will be Financially and emotionally straining for a family with 6 young kiddos and two requiring such invasive treatments. Their babies need them but the bills will continue to come. Every little bit will help
