We are devastated to say that a fire overnight on the 23rd of September destroyed and damaged parts of the garden. Unfortunately the fire completely destroyed our new workshop space and accessible compost loo, along with materials and equipment. We also lost our water storage system and numerous planters, with further damage to our kitchen/seating area and other plants.

In the coming weeks and months we will need your support for repairs, replacing equipment and working towards fully reopening the space. We are grateful for any support you can give, whether that's chipping in or amplifying to your networks.

The Garden of Earthly Delights is a community space in the heart of Hackney. Under normal circumstances we run drop-in community food growing sessions, workshops on woodworking using reclaimed materials, open-access art and music events, supportive gardening sessions for vulnerable communities, and other community gatherings. Your donations will help us get back to all of this as soon as possible as well as making sure the garden is a beautiful, flourishing place for everyone to enjoy.
