Help the Forrister Family Navigate Cancer

UPDATE 7/13/24
Dr from the hospital didn’t get a good thorough tissue sample for pathology to determine what type of colon cancer this is so Bryan will have to use a deep tissue biopsy on the 19th. They are 100% sure it is cancer just not sure how advanced or type. He will need to she a colostomy bag placed on the 22nd which will result in a 3-5 day stay in the hospital (God willing everything goes well and his bowels cooperate). He won’t be able to start his chemo/radiation until he heals from this surgery which is setting him back 4-5wks. Please keep him in your prayers that all procedures go as planned and there are no complications that will hinder is recovery.
Update!…..since being discharged from the hospital, awaiting his surgical consult, Bryan noticed some redness and warmness in his arm where his IV was….Michelle being the super supporter and mild hypochondriac (thank God) fought to get him seen and it turns out he has a blood clot!….unfortunately surgery has to be delayed while he does a treatment round of blood thinners! These delays are scary and detrimental to their well being and their fight against cancer!…,it’s a scary feeling you know you have a tumor so large that it requires major life changing surgery and now you have to wait!….Please help this family continue to fight!
Michelle Forrister and The Forrister Family are facing a difficult trial right now . Michelle's husband Bryan is the primary income provider for his family. They just received devastating news that Bryan has cancer at the age 47. We are asking friends and family to rally together behind the Forrister family.
First of all, we are asking for prayers for the Forrister family. Please lift them up daily for God's peace and comfort to surround the family. Please pray for His miracle working hands to guide all the details of what the family will have to navigate.
Secondly, this trial has presented significant financial challenges. We would like to collect whatever monetary donations anyone is able to give to help support the Forrister family during this time.
The road ahead will be long and difficult and full of uncertainties. The goal is to try and maintain as much normalcy as possible for their kids. Bryan works in sales, his income is dependent on commissions of those sales. At this time, it is uncertain when or if he will be able to return to work.
The family may not reply to responses but know that they are reading them.
Imagine spending everyday working in a cancer center, giving your all to so many patients….reaching far and wide to get people to help out our patients and their families…that’s what Michelle Hall Forrister has done for the past decade and more. She was always the first person to start fundraising for patients and coworkers in need…..the first one to reach out to outside resources for help with families for hotel rooms, gas cards, Christmas presents….always giving and always sacrificing her own needs for others….she truly is a blessing to our infusion center at Dignity Health and cbcc…now she needs our help….this is our time to give back to the one who has given her all to everyone she encounters….please share
