Help the Foronda Family Rebuild After Hurricane
Donation protected
If you’ve ever been to St. Pete Beach you’ve most likely interacted with a Foronda. This family has been a part of the beach community for four generations. From serving masses at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, to giving fishing advice at Gulf to Bay Bait and Tackle, to teaching passerby’s how to skim board at Upham Beach— they’ve been rooted in and given back to the area since 1969.
Fortunately, the members of the family are safe and seeking out shelter with friends and family, however, their house and means of transportation were significantly impacted by Hurricane Helene. With nearly three feet of water throughout their one story home, their beds, appliances, sofa, car and computer among many other things were ruined.
As of now, they are without power and water, are unable to sleep in their home, do not know when they’ll reopen their family-run bait and tackle shop, and the kids do not know when they will be able to return to their school which was also impacted. If you are willing and able please consider lending a helping hand or a donation to this family which constantly aims to aid those around them.
