Help the Foretich-Pichés with Triplets and Medical
Donation protected
My sister Brianna was hospitalized a little over 3 weeks ago for an infection following a breast biopsy (thanfully it came back benign). Due to a twist no one could have anticipated, she developed sepsis and then a grapefruit-sized breast abscess. This quickly became life threatening, and she had emergency surgery on her breast after several alternative treatments were unsuccessful. She has since had complications related to the surgical wound and continues to deal with pain and infection while at home unable to work.
The stress of this mentally, physically, and financially has taken a severe toll on her family. Brianna and Suz have 5 month old triplets, a recently purchased home, and emergency medical bills to get Brianna the care she urgently needed from a life threatening situation.
If you are able and willing, my sister and her beautiful family could use your help. This fund will be used for medical bills, food, and baby supplies. Any amount would be greatly appreciated. I am grateful to all of you who love and care for Brianna, Suz, Rowan, Salix, and Juniper. Thank you!
Brianna's words from her Facebook post on August 12th:
"It’s shocking to be so suddenly incapacitated, and then to see things get worse in spite of early intervention. I have felt so helpless. There are terrifying, gaping holes in our medical system, and too easy to fall into them even with good advocacy. I realize how privileged I have been to be healthy so far in my life. I am grateful to be alive. I am grateful to be home and recovering. I’m also angry and horrified and exhausted, and tremendously sad. I have felt devastated being separated from the babies for so much time, and so glad I can finally be home to recover. Our family has spent too much cumulative time in the hospital as patients this year and are very ready to be well.
I have been home for a week now and slowly starting to feel like the fog is clearing. If I don’t respond, know I love and appreciate your well wishes, but my heart is heavy right now.
Suz was a single triplet Mom and I can’t even express how amazing and strong she has been for our family during this time. I love you babe!
2020 has been hard on everyone. Our family is stressed right now due to this recent hardship and navigating life with baby triplets, and would appreciate any help if you have a desire to give it. I feel vulnerable and anxious even asking for help, let alone on social media, but thank you in advance. We are longing for the arms of friends to hold babies and so many hugs, although virtual will have to do.
We love you all so very much. Thank you."
