Help the Foloma orphans rebuild!
Donation protected
I, Evalistus Foloma, have been an orphan since I was 12.
I grew up at my niece's house together with many other children needing care.
Now I plan to build a family house with orphanage.
You can imagine it as a B&B where the family lives as caregivers with room for children without family who would otherwise live on the street.
I'm an architect and together with Irene, one of the children who is studying Mechanical Engineering we are now talking to the contractor. We'll keep you updated on the plan.
If you can't donate by credit card, you can transfer to BE70734049180625.

My mother, Maria Petrus died in the tragic events of 9/11 and my father died soon after the terrible news. She was a succesful business woman and he worked nationwide digging wells. They were the cornerstones of my family and the community. Their deaths devastated many.
Me and my brothers and sisters Daniel, Helena, Matheus, Sofia and Gerson (on top on the picture) were only children at the time. We were separated to live with family members and struggled without each other. Later we lived on school campuses while studying.
I lived with my niece Johanna. Her husband Peter worked in the capital and tried to provide for all the children living with them. Their home is like an orphanage. Now Peter retired they need help.
Grown up Helena and Sofia built makeshift houses in the garden to survive as more children came to live in the 'main house'. There's no proper toilet, kitchet nor shower inside those shanty houses. They help raise many orphaned children as their own. All the money they make goes to food for everyone. They couldn't even afford a fridge so I bought them one. Can you imagine living like that?
They have to move out of the garden because there's not enough space and it's not liveable. I bought them land with my last savings.
Now I need your help to build a home.
Finally they will be able to live together as a family and support other orphans just like their niece does.
After 4 years I left the country to study abroad. On return I saw the terrible living conditions of my brothers and sisters and their children. It hurts me that I can't help enough myself and need to ask for your help.
We want to build them a family home.
I save every penny I can, I don't even travel home or go on vacation, to provide food for the children. Next to that I also try to pay for education. Sadly there is nothing left to build a house.
For us (in the West) the price doesn't seem that high, only €20k to start building.
I believe we can bring that together and I will follow up the building process personally.
For them with an average salary of €50/month it's an impossible amount.
Please donate what you can and share this.
Thank you
This will improve the life of the whole community in Rundu, a poor town in Namibia. We were already able to support Gerson through nursing school and Irene, is studying Mechanical Engineering. I want my brothers and sisters to be able to stay in Rundu and build a new life for them and so many orphan children.
.
A family home to come back to does so much for the stability of children without parents.
