Help the family with the sudden loss of beloved Charles

It is with such a heavy heart that we are having to navigate a way through the sudden, unexpected passing of Danielle’s husband Charles Body. Charles was an impeccable Father, mentor and role model to Paris, Flynn and Yves. Seems that no words can express the impact of this loss on Danni, the kids and those who knew and loved him. Charles was an incredible bloke and anyone who had the honour and pleasure to meet him was truly blessed.

Charles passed away from complications with his heart. Two years ago, Charles suffered a heart attack on the cricket field and was revived by his fellow teammates. He was progressing well and his heart was making a degree of recovery. He felt a bit unwell last week and went to have his heart checked, this unfortunately rapidly declined and he passed away in Canberra hospital in the early hours of Thursday morning with Danielle, Flynn and Danielle’s brother Duncan by his side.

Charles was an extremely generous individual and always ensured everyone close to him was well looked after. When his sister Sonya passed away, Charles went above and beyond to ensure her family were emotionally and financially secure and I’m sure he would wish the same for his family.

5 years ago, Charles and Danielle fought the Cobargo fires and whilst they lost a lot, they managed to save their beloved home on their property. Danielle and Charles both share a passion, and their business was actively working with farmers and landholders in regenerating the land. Without Charles, the impact on their business is monumental, this was a shared vision.

Charles was an avid sportsman and his love for many sports was well known to everyone who knew him. Charles was extremely involved in the kids sporting pursuits, celebrating the highs and supporting the lows as a true sporting parent does. Not to mention, his well-known love for the Mighty Pies.

There has been an outpouring of offers of assistance from friends and family, at this time, the greatest impact on Charles’s beautiful family will be to ease the financial responsibilities. Any contribution will be greatly appreciated, much love xoxoxoxoxoxo
