Help the family of Marlon Castillo

Donation protected
On June 3, Guatemala’s Volcán de Fuego erupted affected more than 1.7 million people.

Two weeks prior, the Castillo family was abruptly separated.  Marlon Castillo, husband to our HRA PT staff Ana Flores and father of two daughters (6 and 14) was detained on May 21, while attending a  routine immigration interview in Los Angeles.

The week of the eruption, he was deported to Guatemala, amidst the mayhem and chaos. Marlon Castillo was thrust into a country in a state of emergency and his family was not given any time to prepare for his deportation.  Ana and her daughters are left to pick up the pieces of this sudden life-altering change, from managing new financial obligations, legal fees, child care not to mention the emotional trauma that they’re enduring.

In the spirit of colleagiality, we are asking for your consideration to support Ana’s family in this dire time. Politics aside, this family is going through a nightmare none of us would ever want to endure.  Ana is a part of our USC PT family and we want her to know that we will always be there to support  her and her family anyway we can.

Thank you!!
