Help the family of Four year old Freya as she fights Cancer
Donation protected
Callum and Jess were told on New Year’s Day “Your daughter has a rare blood cancer”
Beautiful Four year old fun, loving Freya was diagnosed with lymphoblastic lymphoma.
Today Freya starts her chemotherapy. It would be great if we could raise funds to support the family as they struggle financially at this time so they can be there for their gorgeous baby girl.
LBL is a rare, fast-growing, aggressive subtype of Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL).
The family have been informed it is in her head, bones, chest (very small amount),stomach (very small amount) these both won’t make recovery any different.
She will have a 5 weekly plan and will undergo chemotherapy for the next 2.5 years.
We are friends of the family as our little girl and Freya have an unbreakable bond.
Being told this news must be devastating, especially when the only symptoms were a bit of swelling and bruising.
When this reoccurred, the family took Freya for an examination. Freya very bravely underwent test after test. There were numerous Doctors and Hospital visits over the Christmas period with many intensive procedures and just little fuss from this brave little girl.
Callum and Jess work very hard for the community and in the community.
Their generous natures do not go unnoticed. They give and give and expect nothing in return.
Jess looks after children in her profession and has done an amazing job giving to and loving children that are not her own and Callum treats all Freyas little girlie friends as if they are his own. They give so much love and are so generous and loyal.
“It feels like you’re being hit in the chest with the overwhelming disbelief” is what they feel right now as they’re trying to figure out what they do now as their lives drastically change.
As we all know, children with cancer can't fight it alone, but together we can fight it and we can win hopefully
To do this, Freyas Mum and Dad need to support their daughter whilst being there for their little boy and relying on others support him, so therefore means they cannot work. Their little boy, Eli is missing his sister and his Mum and Dad. This is a very challenging time for them all.
The family are questioning why? why their baby girl, who a few days prior was living her “normal” happy life.
Prior to her diagnosis, Freya was a fun, energetic 4 year old little girl who loved socializing, playing, spending quality time with her family and dancing and making people laugh. She is a great friend and has the most contagious giggle. One of her friends who has grown up with her and is very close to her says “her giggle makes me happy and I miss her in there because she gives the best cuddles. I miss dancing on the table with her and being with her at kids club and school. I need her to come out to be her friend forever because she’s so special”.
Freya is very vulnerable right now and the family are in turmoil as they try to figure out how to support her whilst not being able to work.
To help support the cost of living whilst being in the hospital, and to support the family so they can at least take finances off their mind for a bit, it would be very much appreciated if you can spare something to support them at this time where they feel they have nothing but broken hearts and numbness and a mixture of emotions whilst trying to be strong.
Freya will now stay in hospital for the foreseeable with limited visitors due to her condition.
Childhood lymphoblastic lymphoma is normally treated with the same treatment regimens that are used for acute lymphoblastic leukemia so this is going to be a rough ride. It would be good if we could come together to take a load off their shoulders at this time whilst she undergoes chemotherapy.
Please keep the family in your prayers or thoughts and respect them by understanding that they appreciate all the messages but are finding it hard to respond.
Thankyou so much for taking the time to visit this page that is being put together for people who take the time for everyone else all the time without question.
