“Those who spend their wealth's in charity by night and day, secretly and publicly—their reward is with their Lord, and no fear shall be upon them nor shall they grieve” [2:274]

In a tragic car accident in Mississauga, Ontario around 7:40 pm on a rainy day on October 1st 2020,  Amir (20) sadly passed away. Amir was born and raised in Mississauga, he passed away doing what he loved to do, which is driving his car and being with one of his best friends. Amir and his friends met and spent time together, then had a plan to meet again to have a bite together at a different location. The group of friends dispersed, some went to get the food and Amir and his other friend drove towards the meeting destination but the accident occurred where both pronounced dead at the scene.

Amir’s last words to his mother that day were “merci, merci”, he was thanking her for preparing a simple home made dish for him. Amir was an extremely polite, well-mannered, pious and noble young man, who was adored by his family, friends, and members of his community. His selflessness and warmth affected everyone and anyone who ever had the pleasure of meeting him. He is greatly missed by his family and closest friends and will be missed by so many. Donation was one of the good deeds that Amir made sure he maintained. In an effort to honour him after the passing, we ask for your support in collectively doing a good deed in his name.

My name is Amro Mahmoud and I have known the family involved for over 10 years, also Amir and myself have been very close friends, where we attended the same French immersion schools and were classmates at times. The funds will be raised on behalf of the family affected. One of the main reasons I became an organizer of this  campaign, was to help the family as well as my brother Amir. Although Amir left this world early, his family and his friends including myself are determined to continue Amir’s genuine desire and action to helping the poor. What a better way to do that other than with charitable projects as a continuous good deed! Amir deserves all the best services to be done in his memory.

We plan to use the funds raised to provide drinking water to a village in need, to  provide food and shelter to the less fortunate, and to build remembrance benches in his honor.

*Exact village for the drinking water TBD*

The money raised will be withdrawn to the family and their personal account, which will only be used for the purposes mentioned above.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me at anytime.
