Please help me and my children to protect my children.

Gaza City was also completely destroyed. The area we live in has become almost a desert due to the destruction. My children and I (I have six boys and two girls) are appealing to the international community for donations to help them obtain food and evacuate the combat zones so they can live in peace and away from the bombing. I am deeply saddened. I lost my two sons in the barbaric and treacherous bombing of Gaza. This is not enough for the Israeli occupation. I have lost so much of my family. I lost my two sons, my brother, my niece, my nephew, my cousins, and many of my family members.

My message in my own words is below:

Dear friends,

Hello, my name is Mona Al-Helou, from Palestine, from Gaza. I know my future is shattered. But I won't care about myself much. What's most important are my children, whom I want to see grow up and live the best lives possible. I don't want to lose anyone else as I lost my two sons. I've been affected by the war. My city was completely destroyed, my livelihood was destroyed, and my life in Gaza was destroyed. Two of my sons were martyred, as were some of my relatives. I need help to support myself and my daily sustenance, and to rebuild my life for my children. As you know, we have been living in the worst wars since birth until today, but this war on Gaza, since October 7, is the worst war in history. As most of you know, Gaza is completely in ruins. There is no electricity, no shelter, no food, and no basic necessities of life.

The neighborhood where I grew up has been completely erased from the face of the earth. All memories of these beautiful places will remain just a memory. I also lost my city, my neighborhood with all its sounds, smells, landmarks, and memories. All I have left is my children. I have lost everything I own, and I appeal to the international community.

We are asking for your urgent support to help me and my children continue to live. We are searching for food and daily necessities, and we will seek evacuation to a safe place where we can live freely and in peace, away from the difficult wars. There is no safe place in the Gaza Strip. The evacuation fee per person is $5,000, and the cost of living in the Gaza Strip until evacuation is extremely high. Our goal is to raise $170,000.

But I didn't give up. I wanted to rebuild my life with your support and solidarity. I launched this campaign to restore hope to me and my family. Let's get them to safety, rebuild our lives, and earn a living again.

My children and I have decided to shift the focus of our campaign to raising funds for evacuation rather than reconstruction efforts, because we fear that if I remain in Gaza, I will lose more of my children or rebuild my home after the war, only to see the war return after a while.
