Anyone that knows me knows that I hate nothing more than asking for money (same goes for my husband). But anyone who knows me also knows I’ve always wanted nothing more than to be a mom.
After three long years of wondering why that wasn’t happening for me and doctors telling me it was all in my head, I unfortunately got the news that I have stage IV endometriosis (something they couldn’t even 100% confirm until surgery). So rare in fact that it has grown all the way up to my diaphragm. Though most of it was removed during surgery, so was one of my fallopian tubes. Unfortunately, the one that is remaining was so badly damaged that our percentage of conceiving naturally is at about 2% with the high likelihood of ectopic pregnancy occurring. Also, I will soon have to start a contraceptive pill in order to keep the tissue from growing back and growing further into my diaphragm and possibly my brain! Crazy! So now, that puts the possibility at 0%.
Luckily, we are good candidates for in vitro fertilization (IVF). Not so luckily, our insurance provider does not cover this procedure because it is so expensive.
We never thought we would ever have to pay to get pregnant, but we feel like we owe it to ourselves to at least try once when so many people out there have had successful experiences.
We are doing everything we can to save, but we not only want to spread awareness of this horrible, silent disease, but want to give our family and friends the opportunity to help. Because we know others want a baby Evans just as badly as we do. ;)
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for anything you are willing to donate to our Baby Fund. ❤️
