Help the Enforcers Continue Their Community Impact
Tax deductible
Well folks, we have come to a (hockey) stick in the road and for the first time in over 40 years we are asking for help! The Enforcers have been a non profit since 2012 and have donated over $260,000 to our community. We lost our funding and are scraping the bottom of our bags to sustain our program. We humbly and respectfully are asking for community donations while we are working on securing a funding source.
Who are we? Legally- “Law Enforcement Hockey Charities, LLC” a 501(C)(3) which means we are a tax write-off!! We can and will happily provide a donation letter for your taxes.
Easy answer, we are cops. All shapes, sizes, different town, county and state officers who love hockey and live the kids who are drawn to the sport.
We are the guys and gals you call in the middle of the night when a deer jumps into the road, we are the guys and gals who put on a uniform, kiss our families and head out to better our communities and have been working on community policing before it was cool. Over the years we have funded a scholarship and have traveled all over New England donating money to youth hockey organizations all over Vermont.
Our non-profit has ZERO paid positions, we rely on volunteers to schedule games, file taxes, organize money and all the logistics that are involved in keeping us running. Our bylaws actually prohibit being paid to support our team which means that once go fund me takes their cut 100% of what’s left over goes directly to your kids, to OUR community.
How: we get requests from youth hockey organizations all over Vermont. A game is scheduled, we shoot out a team email, put a volunteer roster together and the cops, our Enforcers come play your local coaches and use the game for a fundraiser that goes directly to your organization. At the end of the game, we hand your team a check to support your local team. It’s that easy!
We are heartbroken that our generous donor decided to retire and close their business a few years ago. We have skated on our reserves but we need help. Please consider a donation to help keep us above ice until our next funding source can be secured.
With all our hearts, thank you for all the support over the years. We have loved every game so far and we are excited and ready to fight to keep our team alive.
