Help the Enciso Family After Fire

On Saturday February 15 at 5pm, the Enciso family, Guillermo, Cecilia and their 4 yr old daughter were in their apartment in Cicero near Cermack and Central when all of a sudden they heard a loud boom and felt the apartment tremble. The building next door had exploded and quickly went into flames. Although panic and mixed emotions kicked in, thankfully they were able to get out on time when the owner of the building came running to knock at their door. They were able to run out with a jacket and sandals on their feet. All sentimental, personal belongings, wallets, car keys were left inside. After the fire, the building where they lived was affected and cost them to become homeless and without anything they used to own. Now they have found themselves with the trauma, headaches and worries of where they will live and how to recover everything they have lost.

We ask if you are able to help, anything counts no matter how small. It’s greatly appreciated and it will help them and their daughter have some peace of mind. From the bottom of our hearts thank you so much.

El sábado 15 de febrero a las 5 p. m., la familia Enciso, Guillermo, Cecilia y su hija de 4 años estaban en su apartamento en Cicero, cerca de Cermack y Central, cuando de repente escucharon un fuerte estruendo y sintieron que el apartamento temblaba. El edificio de al lado había explotado y rápidamente se incendió. Aunque el pánico y las emociones encontradas comenzaron, afortunadamente pudieron salir a tiempo cuando el propietario del edificio vino corriendo a llamar a su puerta. Pudieron salir corriendo con una chaqueta y sandalias en los pies. Todas las pertenencias sentimentales, personales, carteras, llaves del coche se dejaron dentro. Después del incendio, el edificio donde vivían se vio afectado y les costó quedarse sin hogar y sin nada de lo que solían poseer. Ahora se han encontrado con el trauma, los dolores de cabeza y las preocupaciones de dónde vivirán y cómo recuperar todo lo que han perdido.
