Help The Dyer Family Flood Recovery

On September 2nd, Hurricane Ida swept through the US wreaking havoc on many families and businesses. Among those most effected was my son's family who's house has sustained extensive damage. Flood waters filled the basement reaching depths of 5ft and then raged through the pipes and radiators causing it to "rain" on both main floors of the home. They are left with no water or heat due to the damage to the oil tank, water heater, and furnace. Many of their clothes, children's toys, and personal belongings could not be salvaged. Mold is beginning to grow from the moisture trapped in the walls, floors, and ceilings. Fortunately they have flood insurance which will pay for the repairs to the home, but they will not replace lost items such as clothes, cover a storage unit for surviving items, or pay for a hotel while repairs are done. Insurance is anticipating it to take 5 months before they can move back into their home. We are asking for any help for this family to offset the costs associated with this and replacing lost items. This is a family who always does for others without ever asking in return. They would give anything they could to help others in need and we want to do the same for them.
