Help the Dodds Heal After Tragic Loss
Donation protected
The Dodds’ have been through more heartache than any parents should ever have to endure. If you know them, you know that the word unfair doesn’t even begin to explain the events they’ve been through.
Abby and Michael have suffered multiple miscarriages, and the stillbirth of their daughter Emmaleigh Rose Dodd in October of 2018. The Dodd’s were blessed with the opportunity to adopt the little boy that saved their lives, Michael Dodd Jr, in April of 2019.
After watching him grow and thrive with their care and love they tried again and again and still suffered devastating losses at various stages of pregnancies. Finally, after many different combinations, doctors found the right combination of medications to get Abby to term with a baby she grew all by herself.
Addison Mae Dodd was born July 16, 2024 weighing 5lb 13oz and perfect in every way. Abby, Michael, and Mikey enjoyed the most wonderful 2 months and 25 days with Addie, who completed their family and healed mom & dad’s hearts from all their past devastation. On Saturday October 12, 2024 Abby woke up to every parents’ worst nightmare. She went to get Addie out of her bassinet to find her unresponsive.
Needless to say, the Dodds’ world is crumbling before their very eyes, and the least of their worry’s right now should be the cost of that unjust and unfair destruction.
I am here caring for them, doing whatever they need from me because as any parent knows, they absolutely do not know what to do and cannot fathom that this is their cruel reality.
Money raised by this campaign will be deposited to an account opened specifically for any expenses related to their healing through this unwanted journey. Aside from the funeral and burial expenses there are many moving pieces and things to be replaced, including selling their first home, finding a new place to call home, furniture, counseling expenses, time off work, and much else, but none of it can ever replace the love of their lives, Addie Mae.
Please donate whatever you can, and if you can’t donate monetarily, share this campaign with those in your circle.
