Dear close friends and family,
Two are better than one, when one falls down, the other is there to lift him up, but a 3-strand cord is not easily broken.
Chris and I stood before you years ago ready to face the world in the Lord's strength and most of you were there as witnesses of our commitment, not only to the Lord but to each other in fulfilling His purpose and plan in marriage, to procreate. We all know children are a Blessing from the Lord! And you all know how much love we pour into the little ones we see on a daily basis. We've been praying about pouring into our own. We've run into barriers and we're down. We need you to stand in the gap once again as part of the branch, part of the 3rd strand that holds us together during trying times or as we've said so many times, the 4th man! We're calling on the 4th man because we need a miracle. We've recently been told there's a barrier to our purpose of procreation. We're asking for your support, through prayer or if the Lord leads, through financial support.
Only a small percentage of you know the long journey that Chris and I have been on in trying to start a family. The last three years have been a slow-moving but stressful roller coaster. We have been to a series of doctors, completing a long list of exams and testing which were all paid out of pocket as insurance won’t cover these services. We finally found ourselves at a fertility clinic only to discover that the only way for Chris and I to have a baby is through the assistance of In-vitro Fertilization (IVF).
While on this journey, we both have discovered many new IVF terms and common struggles that couples have to go through just to get a diagnosis. We know, we're not alone as 1 in 8 couples struggle to conceive a baby naturally. Chris and I are now living those statistics.
As we near our third year of seeking advice from doctors, Chris and I have accepted the difficult path that God has placed in front of us. We will take a BIG leap of faith and begin the process of IVF this summer 2021. The process is said to be difficult, both emotionally and financially. With that in mind, we're calling on the Lord for help and you to be part of the branch, aka, our help in time of need. We know the power of prayer is AMAZING!!! We're asking in faith for that and financial support, as you are led. The financial support will be used strictly for our health costs. As you know, IVF can cost up to $30,000. We are asking, knowing God is an abundant God.
We appreciate any support in our journey as we walk forward focused on fulfilling what we believe is the Lord's plan and purpose in our lives, to walk hand in hand with Him as we raise the child(ren) He has waiting for us.
