Help the Dieye Family Rebuild After Tragic House Fire
Friends & Neighbors —
The Association Sénégalaise des États‑Unis – (ASECO), together with Sopey Nabi Columbus, are heartbroken to share that our dear friends and community-members, the Dieye family, were caught in a catastrophic house fire on the far east side of Columbus, in Reynoldsburg. Three lives were tragically lost, and two others — including a young child — are hospitalized and fighting for their recovery.

The Dieye family embodies all that our community values: a deep commitment to family, hard work, generosity, and a spirit of giving back. They have always been there for others—now, they need us.
We’re launching this $15,000 goal fundraiser so we can help:
- Replace lost belongings, essential furnishings, clothing, and child-care supplies
- Support medical expenses and ongoing care for the injured child and adult family members
- Provide short-term housing assistance while they locate a stable, safe home
- Help them rebuild their lives and restore their hope
How you can help
Please donate what you can. Every dollar moves this family one step closer to recovery.
Even if you cannot give financially, please share this campaign with your network, your workplace, your masjid or community group. Your voice matters.
Send your prayers and messages of love and support — remind the Dieye family that they are not alone, that their community stands with them.
We mourn with the Dieye family. We lift up the lives lost. We hold close those who are injured and in recovery. And we commit to doing everything in our power, as a community, to help them rebuild.
Thank you for your compassion, kindness, and action.
With gratitude,
ASECO Team
