Help the DePrima family

It’s amazing how your whole world can change in the blink of an eye...

On Tuesday the 3rd December 2019, 4-year-old Billy De Prima was taken to ED with a severe headache, being paralyzed on his right side and unable to speak.


It was later discovered he suffered 4-year-old Billy had a stroke which has affected the left part of the Basal Ganglia in his brain which controls his movement and speech on his right side.

Doctors have advised there will be permanent damage but how much damage is unclear at this stage.

Billy will need another Angiogram in 6 weeks to find out if they need to clip or coil a weak blood vessel and another in 6 months. Billy will require extensive rehabilitation to talk and walk again which means he will be in hospital for months or possibly a year. His mum will need to be by his side while he undertakes this rehabilitation and his dad will need to take time from their small business on only income to care for Billy’s 1-year old sister.  

 
Please keep my friend and her family in your thoughts and prayers. He may be only small but Billy is a fighter and such a beautiful cheeky little boy who has his whole life ahead of him.
