Help the Cutshaw Family Find a Forever Home

Hello, my name is Mandy Leigh, and I want to share a heartbreaking and heartwarming story of a precious family who I met through divine appointment. The Cutshaw family is a family of 8 with mom, dad, and 6 kids under the age of 8. They have been through so much over the last year and are looking for a place to call home!

I pray every day for the Lord to guide my path and place the ones that He wants me to help in it. Lakeisha Cutshaw was one of those people. On 11/4/24, she felt like she had hit rock bottom, struggling with life and feeling defeated. She cried and yelled out to God, contemplating taking her own life. God heard both our prayers!! On 11/5/24, I got her name and number from a co-worker who was worried about her. I called Lakeisha that day and she shared her story with me. I told her that I was sure God crossed our paths for a reason, and I wanted to try to help her if she would let me. She is very humble and would never ask for help!

In early 2024, they were forced to move out of government housing after having their 6th baby because there were not any bigger houses available. They became homeless. A cousin gave them a camper and allowed them to live on her land temporarily. They used what money they had to finance a shed and try to fix it up to live in. They have experienced many trials and tribulations, including one child being hospitalized for a long period of time with a serious illness, Lakeisha’s brother committing suicide, and Hurricane Helene damaging their camper, leaving them with cold, damp, moldy living and sleeping arrangements. The mold and poor living conditions have caused them all to be so sick and miss many days of work.

We met them in person on 11/10/24. We all fell in love with this family! These are amazing parents trying their hardest to provide the best for their sweet kids! We were able to provide them with a temporary camper and then delivered a tiny home on 1/24/25. The tiny home was constructed, painted, delivered, and set up with a lot of love. Many people came together and helped by donating money, products, supplies, and time to get this done.

They are now warm and safe but desperately need to find a place to call home! We are asking you to pray and give whatever amount the Lord lays on your heart to give! Any amount helps!! This will go directly to the purchase of land for them to move the tiny home and start rebuilding their life! Any additional money raised will be used to improve the quality of their everyday life (for example: a reliable vehicle they can all ride in together or down payment of a mobile home, etc.). These funds will be managed by myself and a non-profit organization to assure they are being used properly.
