Carola LeBard is organizing this fundraiser on behalf of her dear friends Walt, Marilyn, and their son Winston (9).
On January 7th, Walt, Marilyn, and their son Winston left their home because of their son's asthma worsening due to the Eaton Fire. They took nothing but a duffle bag with a change of clothes, thinking they would be back the next day. On the morning of January 8, they found out through neighbors that their block was on fire. When they tried to return home, they couldn't get past the chaos and had to turn around, only to later find out their house had completely burned down.
In this devastating moment, we are reaching out to our compassionate community, friends and family for support, as they begin the difficult journey to rebuild their lives.
How you can help: Your generous donations will directly support Walt and Marilyn in their recovery. Funds will go toward:
- Housing to go back to normalcy
- Replacing essential belongings lost in the fire (clothes, shoes, toiletries, school supplies)
- Home essentials and furniture, creating a place of comfort and security for Winston
