In October of 2024, my husband, Dustin, had an atypical seizure (best guess by the neurologist). One minute he was getting ready for work, the next, my husband of over 20 years was sitting in a chair, unconscious and unresponsive. It was terrifying! I called 911, and the EMTs thought it was a seizure at the time. I was hoping it was a one-time event, but it wasn't. Now, he cannot drive or work. He's tried to get jobs, but the episodes he has can last for several days. He has had 2 appointments with a neurologist that weren't very helpful. These appointments can literally be 6 months apart. It is agonizing to wait, wait, and wait some more, for a diagnosis. In the meantime, we have exhausted every dollar, quarter, dime, nickel, and penny just to get from one day to the next. I have no idea at this point how to pay for bare necessities and we have 2 teenagers (Xavier and Zoe) so anything will help, and we would be so grateful!
