Help the Compte Family Rebuild After the Palisades Fire

Flavia and Juan are starting this Fundraiser for the Compte Family after the Palisades Fire.

Our dear friends Lucy and Maurice's family of four are one of many impacted by the Palisades fire after it burned down their condo.

They escaped the fire, thinking perhaps they'd be back in a week, at most.

On Wednesday morning a neighbour called to tell them their condos had made it through the night. They went back into the Palisades as looters had already been arrested trying to steal from the houses that didn't burn, and they wanted to take some family photos and momentos they'd left behind.

When they arrived they saw their home had been reduced to a smouldering pile of ash and rubble.

Like thousands of others in their community, they lost everything in the fire.

They're expecting a baby in April with no idea of where they'll live.

Everything in their village is gone...their two boys' karate school, the library, playground, community centre.

Lucy is a climate journalist and has been reporting on the fires and loss in her community, despite having lost everything herself.

Your donation will help immensely towards the basic necessities:

Housing, Clothing, Food, and anything else they may need at this very tragic time in their lives before they welcome their baby in April.

Anything they don't use they'll donate to other community members in need.

Flavia Lowenstein Azulay and Juan Azulay are from Miami. Juan lived in Los Angeles for 25 years and we still call it our second home. We love LA!!

Lucy and Maurice are not only our best friends but also co-producers. We wanted to set this up to help them rebuild after losing everything they owned in the fire and begin to build their lives again. We will not be managing any of the funds nor take any portion of it, it ALL goes directly to them.
