Help The Community in Kenya 2025
Donation protected
Hi,
My name is Sofia, I am 14 years old and I'm thrilled to say I've been offered a golden opportunity with my school, Wilnecote High School to visit a beautifully diverse part of the world and to experience everyday life with the wonderful people that live in Kenya on an Expedition in 2025 to help local communities.
Most Kenyan people deal with many problems such as hunger, poverty, serious health issues, clean water, and lack of education. In Kenya alone, an estimated 1.4 million people face acute food insecurity and need humanitarian assistance.
This once in a lifetime opportunity is a fully supported expedition with (Camps International) which will provide me with a unique chance to live alongside rural villages, broadening my perspective of the world, it will also allow me to test myself and step outside of my comfort zone.
During my time in Kenya, I would be helping build new community facilities like toilets, shelters, classrooms and even elephant deterrent fences safe for both the animals and people! Over the weeks, I would work on different sustainable projects supporting both the people and wildlife. I would love to be able to see Kenya and experience all of its incredible attributes.
Any donations, however small, would be greatly appreciated and I promise to keep you posted on my journey, I am already full of ideas on things I would like to do to help raise funds for this challenge ahead of me, such as a Sponsored walk up Snowdonia, selling my handmade bracelets, I've also offered to play my Piano at garden party's, Bake Sales and Gardening Services. I'm sure as time goes by I will think of more ideas.
Many, many thanks,
Sofia x
