Hi - it's Jason Roth, brother-in-law to Dax and Lindsay, affectionately known to all as The Chimps.

The Chimps' car was destroyed last month when an out-of-control, driverless FedEx truck sped backward down Telegraph Hill - narrowly missing pedestrians - slamming into their parked car so hard that it was sent flying through a brick wall and was completely demolished.

Fortunately, nobody was hurt, but the heartlessly inadequate "settlement" from FedEx and insurance won't even cover a used car, much less the lost wages, destroyed personal items, and ongoing distress of dealing with an incident that was in no way their fault.

Without a car, Chimps are unable to do needed tasks for their business like taking towels to be cleaned or picking up supplies or just generally getting around.

Between an ongoing economic/pandemic-driven slowdown for small businesses like theirs, along with rising interest rates, Chimps aren't currently able to finance another car so I'm asking for help in putting together a decent down payment for a new ride so they can get back up and running ASAP.

Dax and Lindsay are all about giving (love, fun, positivity) and are reluctant to ask for anything for themselves, so I'm reaching out to Chimp friends and fans everywhere for a little support if you're able, because god knows they'd do it for us.
