Early Saturday morning, the Cano family in Lewisville experienced a devastating house fire that started in their son’s bedroom at an electrical outlet. Thankfully, everyone made it out safely, but the home has been left unlivable.
They have been displaced and will need to stay in a hotel for the next 8 to 10 weeks while repairs are made. They are also managing this transition with two large dogs and two cats, which has made finding accommodations and maintaining normalcy even more difficult.
While they do have insurance, the deductible is high and many immediate needs are not fully covered. This fundraiser has been created with a goal of $5,000 to help bridge that gap and provide immediate relief.
Their son’s room was completely destroyed. He lost everything, including his clothes, books, bed, furniture, TV, and computers. Smoke damage has impacted the entire home. The HVAC system needs to be replaced, and most furniture and belongings have been affected by heavy smoke and odor.
Funds raised will help cover:
• Insurance deductible
• Temporary housing expenses
• Clothing and personal essentials
• Basic furniture and household necessities
• Immediate day-to-day needs during this transition
The Cano family is going through an incredibly difficult time, and any support will help them begin to rebuild and move forward.
If you are able to contribute, it would mean a great deal. If not, sharing this fundraiser is just as appreciated.
Thank you for your support, prayers, and kindness.
