Help The Brazeau's Bring JoJo Home
Hi, We are Jeremy, Lindsay and Jasper Brazeau.
Lindsay and I have lived in Papua Indonesia where we both work at Hillcrest School. A K-12 school established to provide educational support to the families of missionaries that serve the people of Papua.
In 2018, we began working with Indonesian adoption authorities and welcomed Jasper into our family. After a long process, his adoption was made legal in summer of 2019 and he received Canadian citizenship shortly afterwards.
This past June we began our next adoption in Indonesia. Despite spiking covid cases and constantly changing travel restriction we were able to travel to Bandung to meet our sweet little Jocelyn in July. It was love at first sight. Sadly, we were not able to bring her home to Papua then and now we are waiting for travel restrictions to be lifted before we can be reunited with our baby girl.
Jasper’s adoption cost over $35000 CDN, but having gone through the process once, we know what pitfalls to avoid and we are hoping Jocelyn’s adoption will cost around $25000 CDN. As mission workers we do not have a large income and are seeking help to cover some of the costs of the adoption ($15000CDN).
The cost of the adoption includes, but is not limited to:
-Processing of paperwork
-Government fees
-Travel costs fort two Home Studies (Government officials need to fly from Jakarta to Papua and it is expensive)
-Travel costs for the Brazeaus (they have to fly to Jakarta and travel to Bandung, for weeks at a time, to meet with officials, pick up Jocelyn and eventually appear before a judge to finalize the process)
-Medical testing (to prove they will be fit parents)
-Professional Consulting fees
We recognize that people have many opportunities to donate of their limited resources to help all kinds of wonderful causes and we would like to thank you for considering helping us.
Our Sincere Thanks!
Lindsay, Jeremy and Jasper
