Help the Bordelon Family After a Sudden Emergency Delivery & NICU Stay
On Friday, July 11th, 2025, Jamie was 34 weeks pregnant when she suddenly had to rush to the hospital due to high blood pressure and decreased fetal movement. This came completely out of the blue—her entire pregnancy had been healthy and complication-free.
Within just an hour of arriving at the hospital, Jamie’s blood pressure skyrocketed to a dangerous 190s/113, and her OBGYN warned that without immediate treatment, she was at serious risk for seizures or stroke. She was immediately started on a magnesium sulfate drip, and labor was induced that same night.
Jamie and her husband Neil were in shock. It felt too early—Baby JD wasn’t ready.
After more than 24 hours of labor with no progress, the decision was made for an emergency c-section to protect both mom and baby.
At 2:45 AM o6n July 13th, sweet James David “JD” Bordelon was born weighing 5 lbs 10 oz and measuring 18 inches long—a strong and beautiful little fighter for being born six weeks early. Despite his size, doctors anticipated a three-week NICU stay to help him grow and thrive.
But JD had other plans.
He made miraculous progress, and after defying expectations, he was able to go home early with his parents and his big fur brother, Max.

❤️ Why We're Asking for Help
Neil never left Jamie or JD’s side during this entire ordeal. However, with no paid maternity or paternity leave available, both Jamie and Neil have been without income while also facing the rising costs of a premature birth, a NICU stay, and recovery from major surgery.
Neil used vacation time to cover part of his time off, but it quickly ran out. Now, with bills piling up and missed paychecks, the family is asking for help to bridge the gap until Jamie can return to work and they can catch up financially.
We know times are tough for everyone, and asking is not easy. But if you’re able, any amount helps, and your support will go directly toward covering medical bills and living expenses during this incredibly challenging time.

Thank You
Jamie and Neil have already felt so blessed by the love shown through gifts, meals, and prayers. From the bottom of their hearts, they thank you for any donation, share, or kind word. Your support means everything.
