HELP OUR AMAZING COLLABORATIVE GET A NEW SIGN!! We need your help, so please keep reading!
The Block Collaborative was founded in 2020 by Anthony Bounphakom- dance mentor, artistic innovator and all around amazing human. Anthony and his wonderful sister Brenda have provided a clean, safe and loving space for all people to come together and create! Its not just a dance studio...the Block acts as our community center by providing services such as childcare, fun events, art studio space, and even weekend-long dance intensives, all while making sure the focus is always about the people and spreading love (the Portsmouth way).
For me personally, the Block Collab has been a saving grace during the Covid-19 pandemic. When my kids were stuck at home, schools were closed, and they were shut-off from being able to see friends- the Block gave my kids a chance to learn, hang with other creative children... and just BE. When they did not have a studio space yet, Anthony and his fellow teachers would meet us in the park to dance, or in our yard- just so we could keep that creative connection going during these tough times. I can't thank the Block or the teachers enough for providing this space for our loved ones. It is truly our safe haven!!!
PLEASE CONSIDER DONATING TODAY. All funds go to the signage creation and installation costs.
