Help the Beyer Family Through a Storm of Setbacks!

Sometimes, life throws everything at you at once, and that's exactly what has happened to one of my best friends, Ginger Beyer, and her family.

Ginger Beyer is one of the most hardworking, generous, and resilient people I’ve ever known. She lights up every room at work with her kindness and positivity, the kind of person who shows up for everyone else. Now, she and her family need someone to show up for them.

Since March of this year, Ginger, her husband Kevin, and their sweet six-year-old son Jase have faced a cascade of setbacks that would be overwhelming for anyone, yet they continue to do everything they can to stay afloat.

It all began when Kevin unexpectedly lost his job after Arps Dairy shut down its milk production lines with no notice and no severance. With no other choice, Ginger added Kevin and Jase to her health insurance, reducing her take-home pay and adding out-of-pocket medical expenses. Meanwhile, the unemployment office made errors with Kevin’s social security number, resulting in weeks of missing checks, critical support the family was counting on.

They’ve been met with medical costs at every turn. Jase needs $1,800 in dental work. Kevin’s routine blood pressure monitoring became more serious after he was diagnosed as diabetic. Ginger’s vital blood sugar medication, once covered, is now an unaffordable $1,200 per month, leaving her without proper treatment for months.

While Kevin applies daily to jobs with little response, the family has juggled increasing debt and denied assistance, despite filling out eight rounds of paperwork for hospital financial help. Instead of understanding, the hospital sent their accounts to collections, now demanding $500 a month, a number that’s impossible to meet.

And just when things couldn’t seem to get worse, their home and vehicles began failing:
  • The front steps collapsed costing $350 to repair
  • Their only working vehicle died costing $240 for a new battery
  • The air conditioning broke during a heat wave just as Jase developed a rash and needed to stay cool which cost $234 and then $360 more when it failed again
  • Kevin’s truck died completely
  • And after yet another unemployment mistake another weekly check was lost

Despite everything, Ginger still comes to work with a smile. She still gives. She still hopes. But the financial and emotional weight of this storm is too much for one family to carry alone.

We are raising funds to help the Beyers:
  • Catch up on medical bills and avoid collections
  • Repair their vehicle or secure a reliable one
  • Afford dental work for Jase
  • Pay for Ginger’s life-saving medications
  • Relieve the pressure that’s grown heavier every month

ANY donation big or small is deeply appreciated. Even sharing this story can help.

Let’s surround this family with the love compassion and support they’ve always shown others. Together we can help them breathe again.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
